Orchard in a Day: Build, Plant & Learn

Join Basil Family Farm for a hands-on orchard buildout experience where we’ll be installing 12 fruit trees from start to finish. This is a great opportunity to learn the basics of orchard setup—spacing, planting, and long-term care—while actively participating in the process.

This is a hands-on, participation-based experience. You’ll be actively involved in building the orchard while learning throughout the process.

Please note: this will be a labor-intensive event—we’ll be digging, planting, and working outdoors, so consider your workout done for the day! The more hands we have, the quicker the work goes, so feel free to bring a friend.

Water and light snacks will be provided. If you’d like to sit at any point, please bring a chair. We’ll be starting early at 9:00 AM to beat the Georgia heat.
